Wondering when to schedule newborn photos? It really depends on what feels right for your family. Some parents love having photos in the first 10 days when babies are extra sleepy and curled up. Others prefer between 2 weeks and a month when their baby is more settled but still tiny. And some families, like this one, decide to wait until their baby is 3 months old—when they’re more awake and expressive.

Newborn Photos at 3 Months – A Beautiful Option

This Brooklyn family chose to do their newborn session at 3 months, and it was perfect. Their baby girl was wide-eyed, curious, and full of sweet expressions. That stage where babies start engaging with the world? It’s beautiful to capture. Her toddler brother was around too, adding some fun and real family moments to the session.

We started at home, where everyone was relaxed, and then walked to a neighborhood park in Prospect Heights for some outdoor shots. A mix of cozy indoor moments and natural outdoor portraits made this session feel effortless and real.
